Definition
A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is a legally binding contract in which one or more parties agree to keep specified information confidential and not share it with third parties. In the creator economy, NDAs are commonly used in brand partnerships (to protect unreleased product information), talent management agreements, and business negotiations. Creators should carefully review NDAs before signing, paying attention to the scope of confidential information, the duration of the agreement, and any carve-outs for public information. Overly broad NDAs can restrict a creator's ability to discuss their work experience or warn others about problematic business practices.
