Definition
The habit of measuring your progress, success, or worth against other creators — particularly those who are further along in their journey. The comparison trap is one of the most reliable ways to undermine your motivation and distort your perception of your own progress. Every creator you compare yourself to had a starting point. The only comparison that matters is you versus your previous self. Your metrics, your audience, and your business should be benchmarked against your own history, not someone else's highlight reel.
