Internet slang for talking excessively, rambling, or saying a lot without substantive content. In creator culture, 'yapping' is used to describe videos or streams with excessive filler, tangents, or low-information-density monologues. The term is often used self-deprecatingly by creators or critically by audiences to flag content that could be significantly shorter. It is the opposite of tight, retention-optimized editing.
