USB-C

Also known as:USB Type-CUSB-C connector

Definition

USB-C (USB Type-C) is a universal, reversible connector standard that supports data transfer, video output, and power delivery through a single cable. Introduced in 2014, USB-C has become the dominant connector on modern laptops, smartphones, cameras, and accessories, replacing older USB-A, Micro-USB, and Mini-USB connectors. For creators, USB-C enables high-speed file transfers (USB 3.2, Thunderbolt 4), 4K video output to monitors, and fast charging of devices. Many modern cameras, microphones, and audio interfaces now use USB-C for connectivity.
