Definition

A telephoto lens is a long-focal-length lens (typically 85mm and above) that magnifies distant subjects, compresses perspective, and isolates subjects from their backgrounds. Telephoto lenses are used in creator content for wildlife, sports, event coverage, and portrait work where physical proximity to the subject is limited or undesirable.
