Definition
A brand, company, or individual that pays a creator to promote their product, service, or message to the creator's audience. A sponsor relationship is a commercial transaction in which the creator's attention, trust, and reach are the primary assets being purchased. The most sustainable sponsor relationships are those in which the creator genuinely uses and believes in the product, because audience trust — once broken by inauthentic sponsorships — is extremely difficult to rebuild.
