Definition

The rights to use, distribute, or monetize content in markets, formats, or channels beyond the original, primary context for which it was created. Secondary market rights might include the right to use a creator's video in television commercials, retail displays, international markets, or product packaging. These rights are typically separate from and more valuable than primary usage rights.
