Net Neutrality

Also known as:Open InternetNetwork Neutrality

Definition

The principle that internet service providers (ISPs) must treat all internet traffic equally, without discriminating by source, destination, or content type. Net neutrality is critically important to creators because without it, ISPs could throttle video streaming, prioritize certain platforms, or charge content creators for faster delivery. The ongoing regulatory debate around net neutrality directly affects the infrastructure on which the creator economy operates.
