Definition
The process of reaching a mutually acceptable agreement on the terms of a brand partnership — including deliverables, timeline, exclusivity, usage rights, and compensation. Negotiation is one of the most financially impactful skills a creator can develop. Most brands expect creators to negotiate and build margin into their initial offers. Creators who accept the first offer leave significant money on the table. The DEAL Framework provides a structured approach to negotiation by ensuring that all four value dimensions — Deliverables, Exclusivity, Ambassador/Amplification, and Licensing — are addressed.
