A message board is an online discussion platform where users post messages organized into threads by topic. Message boards were the dominant form of online community interaction before social media, and many niche communities — particularly in gaming, technology, and fandoms — continue to thrive on message board platforms. Reddit is the largest modern message board ecosystem.
