Google Gemini is Google's flagship family of multimodal AI models, capable of processing and generating text, images, audio, video, and code. Launched in December 2023 as the successor to Google's LaMDA and PaLM models, Gemini powers Google's AI assistant, Workspace features, and developer APIs. For creators, Gemini offers capabilities including content ideation, script drafting, image generation, and research assistance. It competes directly with OpenAI's GPT-4 and Anthropic's Claude. Gemini is integrated into Google Search, Gmail, Docs, and YouTube Studio.
