Definition
A full frame sensor is a camera image sensor with dimensions equivalent to a 35mm film frame (36mm × 24mm). Full frame sensors capture more light, produce shallower depth of field, and generally offer superior low-light performance compared to crop sensor cameras. Full frame cameras are the professional standard for photography and high-end video production, though they command a significant price premium.
