Definition
A colloquial term for low-quality, generic, or factually unreliable content generated by artificial intelligence with minimal human oversight, editing, or quality control. AI slop is characterized by formulaic structure, hollow language, inaccurate claims, and a lack of genuine perspective or expertise. The ability to produce content that is clearly not AI slop — through original insight, personal experience, and editorial judgment — becomes a significant competitive advantage for human creators.
